Howdy,

I successfully defended my dissertation on March, 8, 2012 and became a doctor pf philosophy in curriculum and instruction. I shall be graduating on May, 12, 2012 from my program with a minor in advanced research methods. Over the course of the last four years in the mathematics education Ph.D. program, I published nine manuscripts (seven peer-reviewed). My name appeared in three book chapters in addition to two printed and two online proceedings. I found that my curriculum vitae includes 23 conference presentations (AERA, NCTM Presession, PME, ICME, SSMA, NARST, NSTA, etc.) and I was invited to speak at ten other occasions. All these figures mean that I have a tremendous job ahead of me; I need to publish all these studies and finish the unfinished business. Indeed, I am currently working on preparing my dissertation manuscripts for submission while I shadow Dr. R.M. Capraro at TAMU to learn more about professorship. I am hoping to get an insight into inter-faculty relationships and the nature of interactions amongst people. I am looking forward to the new challenges coming on my way.

I would like to share one of the photos taken right after my dissertation defense (See Figure 1).

On March, 9, (after a long sleep), the first thing I did was to sign a recommendation letter for one of my students with my new title. Second, I updated my name on the mathematics genealogy project. Check it out.
